Quick Start / Installation

Use this checklist to install Sprusify, validate attribution, and launch your first affiliate campaign.

Prerequisites

  • Shopify store admin access.
  • Permission to install apps and manage webhooks.
  • Stripe account if you plan to automate payouts.

1. Install the App

  1. Install Sprusify from your Shopify apps workflow.
  2. Approve required permissions for orders, discounts, and webhook events.
  3. Open Sprusify from your Shopify admin sidebar.

2. Complete Initial Setup

  1. Set currency and timezone to match Shopify.
  2. Choose a default commission model (percentage or fixed).
  3. Set a referral window (for example, 30 days).
  4. Save your payout and dispute policy defaults.
  5. Enable the tracking extension from Theme Customizer using advanced-integrations/affiliate-tracking-app-embed.
  1. Go to payout settings.
  2. Connect Stripe if using automated payouts.
  3. Set minimum thresholds and payout cadence.

4. Create a Pilot Campaign

  1. Create one campaign with clear dates and rules.
  2. Invite one or two test affiliates.
  3. Generate both a referral link and coupon code.

5. Verify End-to-End Tracking

  1. Use a test link in an incognito session.
  2. Place a test order.
  3. Confirm the conversion appears in analytics.
  4. Confirm pending earnings are created for the affiliate.

6. Run Launch Readiness Checks

  • Webhooks are delivering successfully.
  • Attribution appears correct on at least two test orders.
  • Email templates and branding are finalized.
  • Support contact path is visible to affiliates.

If Something Looks Wrong

  • No conversions: confirm webhook health and attribution window settings.
  • Wrong commission amount: review campaign precedence and product overrides.
  • Missing payouts: verify payout account status and threshold rules.
